I spent quite some time last night perusing little-girl-hair-dos. It was so fun! This morning, armed with a comb, spray bottle & mini rubber bands, I attempted this Waterfall Braid on Shyanne. After nap it was thrashed so she wanted bows...I did that and then I did the waterfall w/ a weave on Hollie It turned out cute! Abbi Rice came over so she's the big girl with knots. So fun!! I'll be attempting lots more in the near future. On Natalee I just did simple tipsy-turvy Knots. Super cute too! Can't wait to experiment more!!!

Driving home tonight from the gym, I stopped at the gas station. The male attendant had earrings in his ears. This is the conversation that ensued:  Natalee: Why does that man have earrings? Shyanne: Maybe... Probably... it's not a man - it's really a woman. But she got lice and had to shave her head so that's why she has short hair, and earrings. Natalee: o o o o Me: No - that was definitely a man Shyanne: O o o Natalee: Well why does he have earring then? Shyanne: Probably, he's allergic to not having earrings!! Hollie: No, probably he doesn't know God in his heart.

In case you didn't notice (how could you not!?!?), Brock's 11 month pics (here) were pictures of a picture. Ha!  I took the pics w/ my camera and then w/ my phone took a pic of the screen.  Terrible. I know.  But I was desperate! What can I say. Here's the real deal.  Isn't he BE-A-U-TI-FUL!?!  Yes. I agree! Thanks Kenz for the editing!

I"ve been wanting to share this video forever! My talented sister & her equally talented husband (guitar & drums in the same song!?!?), & his talented, gorgeous sister Mackenzie, put together this fun special music for Easter Sunday. Awww.. just watching it again made me tear up! They did such a great job! Listen closely and leave a comment telling me how Hollie lets her light shine. We've yet to figure that one out! Enjoy!

I love the special relationship Brocky has with each of his sisters! The way Hollie has him laughing just kills me!

My little Shyanne has become a pro at riding without training wheels this past week.  She is doing so well!  I started working with both the bigs maybe two weeks ago and Shyanne has just taken off! (I'm sure Natalee will be close behind... but that'll be a different post!) Shyanne is sooooo proud! And she went from pedaling well w/ me starting her, to learning how to get going w/ a little help from the momentum of a hill, to now starting off just about anywhere! Her friend Kyah learned this past week as well so when she brought over a bike that's a whole size bigger than N & S's bikes, Shy picked it up right away! I am so proud of her.  She worked and worked to get this good and I think she'd ride all day long if we let her! I'm sure it won't be long before Johnny & I will be buying bikes and our whole family will be able to ride together!

11 months of love! 11 months of new! 11 months of fun! O how we love you sweet Brock Samuel! You are busy busy these days... There's never enough t.p. to pull off the roll, clothes to unfold, or dishes to pull out of the cupboard! You screech and scream at the girls wrestling with Daddy, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you join in! You are such a mellow content baby and you seem to thrive in the chaos that we call every day life! You love life & your joy is contagious sweet little man! I can't believe you are almost a year... It just seems impossible! Xoxo happy 11 months baby!

 The girls came in the room the other day wearimg their sun hats they had dug out of a summer box. They begged me to snap their picture - and how could I resist?!? Theyre just too darn cute!

Just a few more shots from our camping trip - the actual camping part! "we love our tent!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "what's going on????" any guesses as to what these are??? Mommy forgot the marshmellow roasting stick so she got creative...! SMORES!!! {thank goodness we had foil!} A cool covered bridge in the campground goofy girls! We LOVED the Silver Creek Falls campground and definitely want to camp there again some day!

And... he LOVED it! i didn't think he'd care for the cold water but he was in heaven! I was worried about him getting too cold but he was INTO it! It was a little intense trying to protect him from bigger kids spraying water in his face, stepping or tripping over him, etc, AND, trying to snap these shots w/o a fountain springing up underneath me! ha! I was lucky. No camera damage this time! (Brock it was sooo worth it to capture you!) "Don't make me leave mom!!"
