It's Not All About You Tuesday: Spotlight Johnny

Spotlight Johnny. Here's some words to describe Johnny: My little sweetie! Love of my life! Faithful. A hard worker. Not a complainer. Tender. Willing to learn. He's so thoughtful and sweet! My valentines day was o-so-sweet and blessed! See next post! I am so grateful that God gave me a wonderful husband and man of God.

Valentines Day '09

Happy Valentines Day! Ok. Here's how the day started. Actually, let's back track. Johnny's Plan: The weekend started Friday night when Johnny asked Allison to take Natalee for Fri & Sat. Allison picked Natalee up around 4 and I had a whole hour to myself to do whatever! It was so weird. I didn't know what to do with myself! When Johnny got home, we grabbed a heart-shaped pizza and headed over to Jason & Naomi's for a relaxing adult evening! Sweet! Saturday Morning (of course I woke at 6 am!) I just laid in bed missing my little Natalee. Finally I got up to put my V-day plan into action. My Plan: Red, heart shaped pancakes, a few I-love-you's, a card & some candy. During my free time on Friday, I made a bunch of little I-love-you's on my Cricket Scrap Cutter - to strategically place throughout the day. I didn't know what Johnny had planned but I knew it involved heading to Portland so I figured I could take a few with me too. On the ...

Recycling Day!

My sweet little helper Natalee. She loves to take the "garbage" out. She's been begging me to wear her boots the past few days so I thought today was the perfect day (rainy & dreary!) to let her put on the clunky boots and help me take the recycling out. She was so excited! Boots & "garbage"! Poor girl. She can't bend at the ankle when she's wearing her boots... so just the first step off the curb was a challenge! But she was bound and determined. She carried her box all the way there with no help from Mommy, and even unloaded each item into the recycle bins! Soon the day will come when it's a chore to take the garbage out. So until then, I'll treasure our little outings to the garbage bins. She enjoys them, so why can't I?!? (: On a side note, everything that will someday be a chore , is fun right now for Natalee. I ask her to clean up, and away she goes, singing "clean up, clean up, everybody clean up" as she bound...

Naomi Grace Brock

A challenge to take Tuesday and write about someone else... Today I feature: Naomi Grace Rice (you'll notice in my title, that I got her last name wrong... some things are hard to change. That's why Marlane will always be Marlane "Pashecko" to my sister Jennifer! Some of you know what I'm talking about here!) Anyways... Naomi Grace. What can I say about her? *She's my little sister by 8 years. *She's been through a lot in just 20 short years. A lot more than me. And she's one strong lady! *She adores Natalee (and vice versa!) *Natalee was named after her: Naomi Grace - Natalee Grace (and we didn't tell Naomi until Natalee was born... a sweet tribute to my baby sis!) *She's anal. So she's super clean and neat and good at organizing and never has clutter. She and my mom can walk in my house and find the 5 (or 20!) things that annoy each other or that are out of place etc. It's weird. They're just alike that way! Her house is a...

Speaking a little Spanish

Many of you know Allison. She speaks to Natalee predominately in Spanish. Natalee understands a lot and lately she's been using Spanish a lot more in every day conversation, not just when Allison is around. Monday she said, "Brrr... It's told (cold) outside Mama. Brrr... Frio (cold). Brrr.... Allison" A little while later she was laying on the floor in the living room when she looked up at me and said, "Hola Mama" Later that day I said something to her and used the word "mucho" (a lot). Allison always tells her she loves her mucho. Anyway... after I said mucho, she must've confused "mucho" with "uno" cause she said, "mucho... dos..." And the funniest thing she does is when Allison asks her a question, to which she wants a yes or no answer... Allison will say "Si? o No?" and Natalee always replies, "Si-no-no" but... she does the same thing in English! When I ask her a question and then say, ...

Who is this serious little girl? Deep in thought... O, there's a smile!

She doesn't stop talking...

...So it makes it easy to come up with new "o the things that she says" posts... (Becky... I don't want any sarcastic comments from you!!!) (: Every morning when she wakes up, the first thing out of her mouth is, (shouting...) "Momma! I dotta doe potty! Get a tandy! Paper!!" Mommy, I need to go potty. Get a candy. Use some toilet paper. She's predictable. Every morning, since she's really been potty trained, that's what I hear! When she finished going potty, it's "Yahhhhh!" (while clapping for herself) "Yah, Natalee Barton, Grace Barton!" Lately, when we get in the car... "I'anna doe Papa, Nonnie's house. Jen." I think she's noticed that we haven't been going, going, going as much and thus haven't seen either side of the family for a bit. Sad. We've got to remedy that soon! And the one I keep forgetting to post...! Every time we drive past Taco Bell. EVERY TIME. It doesn't matter wha...
