What? You want me to smile? Like this...? This is my crazy look! Ooooo like this.... Admit it... I'm cute!

Crazy boy!

This boy is CRAZY! I keep telling Johnny THIS is what I was feeling inside of me waaaay back an eternity ago when I was pregant! No wonder I thought he was crazy back then!  he he ooooooo I LOVE him!!

2 months 4 weeks (not to be confused with 3 months!)

Does this smile not melt your heart? Maybe it's just because I'm his mom and it gets me every time! It never gets old...  I blinked my eyes and he's almost 3 months.  Where does the time go? How is it possible that he's been with us that long? Mackenzie snapped a picture of him and me that I hope to post someday when I get the pictures off my camera.  With no internet at home, it's a little tricker.  But in the meantime your stuck with Iphone pictures which are less quality, but MAN i am sooooo thankful for them.  I have captured so much that i would have missed otherwise! Side note:  THANK YOU Johnny (Number one sales at AT&T right now!!!!!) for hooking me up with an Iphone!!

31

I am officially 31. Naomi and I have our birthdays 2 days apart. This year my sweet Pastor's wife (naomi's mother-in-law) blessed us with a yummy cake at church on Wednesday. Naomi wasn't there since baby K was in the hospital :( so I didn't even get to share the embarrassment of being sung to, with her. Needless to say, I had a blessed birthday and I am very grateful for the love showered upon me! Saturday was filled with a day of shopping, a hair cut, a free lunch, and just a lovely time with my momma and sister. My heaven-sent mother-in-law watch my girls for me (while suffering from a tooth-ache :( poor baby!) and she doesn't even know how blessed I felt! (love ya Maga!) i got some new clothes that actually fit me! Some new (much-needed) makeup and some new boots! All I need now is a pedicure and I'll be a new woman! :) (DON'T look at my toes, please I beg you! It's a bad scene). Thoughts on being 31.... I guess it's not much different than 30,...

Explains a lot...

This..... Explains why I am so tired! That, compounded by getting up every 3 hrs in the night... I stole this pix from Jen over at 4tunate (http://4tunate.net/2011/09/the-reason-my-sanity-is-failing/comment-page-1/#comment-23544) who has 4 4-year-old quadruplets. I know I only have 2 four-year-olds, and a three-year-old... But i think the principal applies :) add Kyah and in a year or so Alyssa will chime in and YIKES! it's gonna be crazy around here! :)

Happy Birthday Little Sis!

It's crazy to think that Naomi is 8 years younger than me. (and even crazier to think that i'm 31 this year - but that's another post entirely!) Obviously the older we get... the less age seems to matter! Lots and lots of the years of our lives we were separated by age.... and then by distance... as I grew up, moved out.... and started my own life. Then the distance grew when I moved to Corvallis... but finally...... the distance shrunk when she got married & moved HERE! I am so happy to have her near to me. God has blessed me w/ her! Needless to say Naomi has been an incredible blessing to me over these past few years. She loves these girls like I do... (and the girls ADORE her!) and she helps me - babysits for me - lets me vent to her - goes on double dates with me - (crashed single dates with me! (: hehe) puts up with me and my (every once is a while!) attitudes - goes grocery shopping with me -and is just a listening ear when I need a friend...

2 months 3 weeks (with video)

Where does the time go? Two months have flown by... Soon we'll be saying he's three months old... Waaaaaah! Brock is just a little love these days. He grins at us all the time... As soon as our eyes meet he breaks out a smile. He still wants to nurse every 3 hours all night long... Not giving me much of a break there! Last Friday he weighed in at 10 lbs even. We were a bit late on his two month apt... So I'm not sure what he weighed back at the beginning of September. He was 22 inches long up from 19 1/2 at birth. He's definitely chubbing up and I think he will look more and more like Natalee the chubbier he gets. I've only just begun to embark on the journey of being a mom to a boy... But i have to say... Thus far its been pretty sweet!!

Terrible pictures take 3!!!

A sad attempt to photograph my sweet 4-some in the parking lot of home depot... Take 1: Take 2: Take 3: Cancel the pix of 4... We'll just shoot for one little love...! Success!!!!

Ready for the wedding!

O the things that they say....

Here's some of the cute things my kids still Mispronounce: * Hollie calls her cereal: Honey muncha boats (figure that one out!) * Natalee always wants to eat burritos at: shi-poach-lays * Natalee told me that she and Papa walked out to his Hiccup and that Brock has the pickups * All three say Weingerdog for a dashaund * for some reason they can NOT get the grammatical concept of using "may" in a question. Even if i phrase it for them, "please may I....?" they all say, "Please may can I...?" *the other day Hollie said, "I wuv strawberry shortcake! She's nice! She doesn't bite! I yike she!" Hollie is at an argumentative age. She argues with her sisters about EVERYTHING. And pretty much she's almost always always wrong but she holds her ground arguing vehemently tho She doesn't know what she's talking about! :) one day she argued with shy because shy said her cereal was crunchy. "no! It's not crunchy!...
More of the smiley baby... Natalee just walked in the room after I finished nursing Brock and as I was posing him for pictures she stuck this sticker on his tummy. How humorously appropriate! And she dent have a clue what it said :) As a side note... I think if I wrote down all the crazy and funny things my girls said and did each day, I could easily write a book! they crack me up on an hourly basis most days. Unfortunately instead of taking the time to write most things down, I'm too busy breaking up fights, making meals, cleaning, doing laundry, and taking my girls out to make the most of these last few sunny days. And I'm lucky if I can remember them after a long day... But I thought I'd share a few cute things they've said lately, in my next post! So stay tuned :)

Proud big sister

Smile after smile after smile!

Brock is a full-fledged smiler now! He stops mid-meal to grin up at me... He wakes up, finds my eyes and gives me a wide toothless grin... He smiles at the girls and of course his daddy. And we LOVE it! Xoxo Brock Samuel! You light up our lives!

We are proud to be Americans

...am we will never forget 9/11

5 little cousins all in a row

I love his smile...

... It melts my heart. This is such a fun age. I'm sure I'll say that about every age along the way... I think I did with natalee's first year too. But I'm so in love and am enjoying everything about Brock's recent level of contentment, his recognition of Johnny and me, and his sweet smiles and coos. He is officially 2 months old (2 months?!?! Where does the time go?) and i don't known his weight or height stats because his dr's office has no openings till october! Hopefully they can fit him in sooner tho!

Our weekend in pictures...

I'm slowly figuring out mobile blogging. Its a little trickier than blogging from a computer... And getting more than one picture on a post was stumping me. But not for long!! And now.. our weekend in pictures: Brock Samuel, almost two months.. As cute as ever! Strawberry waffles and whipped cream for breakfast Saturday morning... A great way to start the weekend! First Beaver game of the year... A tad disappointing... But still.. We got to bust out our Beaver clothes! Daddy and his girls Sunday morning before church. Cute little matching cousins. Outfits compliments of Miss Megan, Shy's old student teacher whom we adore! Cutie girls all dressed up in new dresses from Maga. Thank you Maga!!! Our Labor Day... Camped out in the hallway with two sickies. Reading books to all 4 kids. Showing pictures to natalee in the bathroom floor, and shyanne, Hollie, and Brock in the hallway outside the bathroom. Avoiding Johnny who was camped out in the other bathroom. ...

A little smile

Brock started smiling at about six weeks... But never really in response to one of us... More just in a contented state, looking around cooing etc. Now ive only got him to smile when he's waking up, looking around and then his eyed focus on me but let me tell you it's HEART WARMING!!!! Case in point: Sent from PicFrame

Just chillin with my dad at the state fair!

Feeling SO BIG at the state fair!!

This year the girls each got to ride two rides on our annual state fair trip. We went on half price ride day... But I swear they doubled the number of tickets required for each ride! What a scam! Needless to say the girlies had a blast! Hollie was finally tall enough to ride a few rides this year and she chose the canoes and a helicopter ride (in which she made her mama a nervous wreck trying to unbuckle the seat belt mid flight!! But that another story!) Shy and Natalee rode the swings together and they were so brave!

Turn your head sideways....

....and feast your eyes on these two loveys! Brock (left or top)  Koa (right or bottom)  just chillin in the crib in nursery together. too cute!!!!
