Camping THE END

And ... ok. this picture KILLS me. Kills me. o my gosh my heart just stops looking at this little muffin. Seriously! Can he can ANY cuter? Even in his big sister's sweatshirt? All I need Kenz or Naomi to edit it and I will frame it somewhere in my house! Brocky spent our camping trip perfecting the art of walking... literally. He walked back and forth on the sidewalk outside the playground over and over... finding things to put in his mouth, pick up, share, etc.. and all the while... he became an official member of the walking babies club! The last day of camping I caught some sweet moments between brother & sister... So very sweet! </ Daddy and his girl Daddy and his girls And then we came home... and I spent an entire week trying to catch up on laundry. SERIOUSLY. The End!

Camping part 2

This camping trip was unique  in the fact that we didn't spend our entire week roughin' it (: Wednesday we loaded up and headed into old town Florence to see the sites and experience all there was in this quaint little town.  The girls were fascinated by the crab pots and had several opportunities to see a "catch".  It seemed the crabbers were catching a lot of tiny crabs & females... but it made for a good show chasing the skittish children on the dock he he   Hard to explain to the girls the function of a anchor of this magnitude (:  Florence bridge - my sweet girls Fun gazebo for dancing and playing See! I was there. Here's a pictures for proof! (: What a fun day! We enjoyed our time, the sunshine, and the care-free day! Old-town Florence is darling, with fun shops and a great boardwalk for exploration.  We were grateful for the warm day, and the wonderful family time.

Our final camping trip of the year part 1

For Johnny's final vacation this year, we planned a camping trip to Honeyman State Park in Florence, OR.  It was our first full week (5 days) camping trip.  The longest we had ever gone was 3 days.  My parents were supposed to go with us but unfortunately (fortunately!) my dad finally had work so they missed out this year! (But we had fun, Natalee says) (Brocky hangin his booster seat ) (Camping is fun, he says!) (The corner of our campsite opened up to the playground directly behind us. The girls lived in the sand pit and at the playground for hours each day) (Daddy is the campfire man! Thanks Paga for all the wood!) (We spent the afternoon of our second day at the lake. It was barely warm enough to swim but that didn't stop the girls!! Later we were so glad we went because the supposed hottest day (Thursday) ended up 60 degrees with wind. So Tuesday was the only day we actually spent a long time at the lake!) (We couldnt resist...

Happy Birthday Maga!!

WE cooerced Johnny's mom (Maga) into coming down on her birthday so we could give her an extra-special birthday gift! First her very own cupcake (no the girls are only watching because they want her to enjoy it, they don't want a bite at all!) I made Maga some very fun scrapbooking pages of her grandgirls and Brocky.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of those pages - oops! But that wasn't the big special birthday present... The big present was unveiled when I asked Maga to take a sweatshirt off of Brock when he got up from nap...  This video ( of course) didn't work because my batteries died right in the moment when the realization hit her... But Brock was wearing a t-shirt that said BIG brother Maga's reaction was priceless! She was soooo excited and said this was the best birthday present ever and that, she wants this for her birthday EVERY year (ha!)  So I guess that means Amber, April & Autumn, you'd better g...

Camping @ Champoeg = pathetic pictures!

LuI was commenting to someone this last  camping trip that I don't know why it is so difficult to just get my camera out and take some pictures! So I did... and then my camera died. So... our three days at Champoeg... summed up in 3 minutes of pictures taking! Brock pushing his tractor: Brock pushing his tractor some more... And yet another pix of Brock pushing, his tractor: Brock pushing his tractor FAST! o yes, the rest of the campers! Nonnie, the girls, and Hannah (I was Hannah's 6th grade teacher! crazy huh?) Luckily Hannah was willing to share a few of her pix.... (: Shyanne takes her bike riding VERY seriously! There were more pictures... but I couldn't figure out how to flip them from horizontal - so I just gave up! (: Needless to say, the girlies had a blast at Champoeg and we're already talking about making reservations for next year!

Then & Now...

2008: Natalee & Kyah 2009: Kyah, Natalee, Shy, Hollie 2010: NATALEE & SHYANNE 2012: Ok... I know... it's comical... it really is! And pathetic (: We had a bigger pool last year - the kind that really only lasts one year... and we've been meaning to get a new one this year - it's just the summer took so long to get here, we didn't really believe it was coming! ha! I think the 100 degree day tomorrow will just about convince me! (P.S. We just did this photo shoot as a joke! They don't all really try to squeeze in the froggy pool!)
