She likes to sleep face down on our shoulder. She smiles! and she LOVES her Daddy. She smiles for him the most! bonding with Mawga and PaGa! Now I know where Taylor gets this look! (: She looks like her PaGa! Bonding with Daddy.... Getting to know my great grandma Wanda! My parents & sisters when on a camping trip with the Rices in April. One of the days Natalee and I drove out to visit them. We spent our time just sitting around talking and playing games... Made for some cute pictures tho! (: And then there was Natalee nursing on Naomi's nose... (: Priceless!!

Natalee's 1st Easter fell just 2 weeks and 3 days after she was born! (this picture was taken a few days before Easter but I had to include it! Too cute!) We went to church and then we drove & met the Rice's and my family in Monmouth for a (silly location) lunch at KFC! Mostly it was just an excuse to get together... obviously not your traditional Easter dinner! (: Natalee needs every chance she could get to hang out with handsome little Jack-Jack... gotta get the chemistry started early! (: tee hee!

One week after Natalee was born, we packed our bags and headed to Newberg to stay the week and to attend the Northwest Bible Conference in McMinnville. It was super fun for me because I got to show Natalee to all my dear friends in the Mac church and extended church family as well. No, I didn't get to hear many sermons but that was ok... because I was a mom. Aunt Jennifer was/is o-so-in love with her little niece. She would sit and talk to her and help keep the binky in while I was getting ready for each service. What a proud aunt!! (future) Uncle Jason held Natalee during a little lunch get-together we had with his family during conference... I adore that outfit she has on!!! Aunt April had been out of town serving her country (: as a n urse... when she arrived, she headed to Newberg to visit her new little niece... WHAT A BUSY WEEK!!! Now for the crazy grandma part... actually it's pretty cute... Grammy Brock put Natalee in an Easter basket for some adorable pictures. N...

The next week was a blur of visits and just settling in to our new life. Breast feeding was wonderful because it forced me to sit and be of f my feet and just recover! Natalee's grandma (MawGa - so named by Natalee's cousin, Taylor) came and spent some time just enjoying her new granddaughter. I played with some photo options on my camera while she was here (thus the B&W pictures) which was really just an exuse to take lots of pictures of my precious little gift! (: Natalee had her first bath at home and firmly established the nick-name "Our Little Ducky"'. She would do this litte face where she scrunched up her nose and pursed out her lips... like a little duck. I stayed at the hospital my full three days and I really wanted to stay one more! I was super sore and had a hard time walking and even harder time leaning over to pick Natalee up out of her bassinet at the hospital. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it at home! We left around 2 pm and headed over to the Kaiser clinic to pick up a few prescriptions. When we got home, my landlord's wife, Nina brought us down a light dinner (so thoughtful!). We relaxed and I realized how glad I was to be home! Pastor Rice & Patti came over after church and held the baby a little bit. For some strange reason (soon to be discovered) Natalee was fighting nursing. She had nursed once around 5 pm but fought me before finally latching on... and the refused after that. Patti tried swaddling here and rocking her... but nothing seemed to work. We thought maybe she wasj just tired. Johnny was heading back to work Monday (sadly) and I had a dr's appt for Natalee in Salem in the mornin...
