You don't even realize how they change until you look back! I remember meeting the girls for the for the first time. They were so sweet and quiet. I loaded them into Pastor's truck (they used my van to get to the airport for conference) and headed back to Corvallis. I asked Shyanne if they were hungry, I didn't know if they had eaten or anything. She said yes. What to get? I didn't know what these girls would eat. I figured a bean burrito was safe, so I pulled into Taco Bell and ordered one. By the time we were through the drive through, both girls were passed out asleep. ha! So I headed home. Huband-less for 4 more days, hoping I could handle 3 girls under two on my own!
Needless to say, it was a bit more than I could handle. Sweet Bea from McMinnville came to my rescue and stayed with me the rest of the week. I remember telling my mom, "When I am even going to get a shower?!??!?" I think the first two nights I didn't get them all down to sleep until midnight. But each day, it got easier and easier and here we are, 1 year later, and I can't believe all that we've accomplished. God is so faithful! I am so grateful for that phone call that hot day in July that changed our lives forever!
